Hospitality
Serves as the welcoming face of the PTA at meetings and events. Coordinates logistics for PTA meetings, teacher luncheons, open houses, and other school functions. Plans and executes appreciation events such as luncheons or themed weeks, including Coffee Cart. The hospitality team creates a positive, inclusive environment that encourages engagement.
Connections
Connections is all about building bridges—between families, staff, and the wider school community. Typically focuses on engagement, inclusion, and fun community events. Helps organize events that foster relationships across diverse groups—think family game nights, Movie Night or community service projects. The Connections committee improves communication and trust between families and staff.
Assemblies
Plays a vital role in enriching the educational experience of students by organizing school-wide presentations, performances, and guest speaker events. Works with school administration to schedule assemblies at appropriate times.
Communication
Serves as a vital role in keeping families, staff, and the broader school community informed, engaged, and connected. Ensures all communications reflect the PTA’s mission, values, and tone—positive, inclusive, and family-focused. Maintains and updates the PTA website, social media, newsletters and other forms of communication.
Spiritwear

Yearbook
Organizational role in capturing the spirit of the school year. They’re the memory-keepers, storytellers, and layout artists rolled into one. Plan, design, and produce a high-quality yearbook that reflects the school’s events, students, and culture. This includes gathering photos from events, classrooms, clubs, and sports, soliciting student artwork, quotes, and write-ups, and even organizing photo days and ensure coverage of all grade levels.
Beautification
Improves the aesthetics of school grounds, classrooms, and common areas. Helps identify areas of the school that need improvement (e.g., gardens, hallways, bulletin boards). Members will work with custodial staff, teachers, and administrators for project approval. Creates a clean, vibrant, and inviting atmosphere that reflects the school’s spirit.
Drama Club
Dynamic and creative role in supporting student theater productions and fostering a love for the performing arts. They’re the behind-the-scenes champions who help bring the stage to life.
Holiday Shop
This committee brings festive cheer and practical learning to students by organizing a seasonal shopping experience right at CWES. It’s a beloved tradition and the committee plays a key role in making it magical and meaningful.
Fundraising
Plays a vital role in supporting school programs and initiatives by raising funds. This includes developing a calendar of fundraising events for the school year which aligns fundraising goals with the PTA’s budget and priorities. Additionally, reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships or in-kind donations and creating donor recognition programs to encourage continued support.
